Alton Dalton Fogle, age 90 of Killeen passed from this life Thursday, May 9, 2024. Services will be held Friday, May 17, 2024, with a visitation from 10 am – 12 noon at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen, and graveside service at 1 pm at Killeen City Cemetery.
Alton was born April 12, 1935, to Robert Carlton and Menzie Viola (Davis) Fogle. He attended school at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, where he got a degree in business. Alton was a prominent businessman for years in the city of Killeen. He owned Fogle Auto Supply stores and later changed careers and went back to school to become a mortician. Alton was an original member of the Southside Church of Christ, and then a member of the Pershing Park Baptist Church in Killeen, Texas where he enjoyed the company of good friends and the Lord immensely. Alton was the last of the Fogle dynasty of Killeen and the surrounding central Texas area. He was the last of his siblings, brothers, Owen, Stell, and Buddy (Hezekiah), and sister, Edith Fogle Bates. Alton was a member of the Rotary club for many years, and the Republican party. He was a wonderful, humble, honest, and caring man who would help anyone in need.
Survivors include two daughters, Kimberly Fogle, and Melinda Fogle St. Lawrence (Harold); and granddaughters, Kelsey Melaine Bolgiano Moudy (Alex); and Catherina Menzie Viola Moudy.
