Chattie M Fogle

Chattie M. Fogle, 95, of Winchester, VA, died Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at The Willows of Meadow Branch, in Winchester.
She was born January 21, 1930 in Middlesboro, Kentucky, the daughter of John H. Monhollen and Della L. Monhollen.
Chattie married Boyd C. Fogle on August 11, 1947; Boyd preceded her in death in 2000. Chattie was a loving child care provider for 35 years; and sweet "Nana" to 40 children during those years. She enjoyed gardening, reading, sewing and crossword puzzles. Chattie was an accomplished seamstress and taught others to sew, mend, crochet, and plant flowers. A devoted, Godly woman, Nana felt "everyone should know Jesus".
She is survived by two children, Della F. DeHaven (Douglas) of Winchester and Boyd C. Fogle (Jody) of Raleigh, North Carolina; four grandchildren – Scott DeHaven (Whitney) of Winchester – Aaron Fogle (Hollie) of Raleigh, NC – Hillary Shafto (Chris) of Charlotte, NC, and Audrey Schleich (Eric) of Holly Ridge, NC; and seven great grandchildren; Bryce DeHaven, Paige DeHaven, Hannah Schleich, Henry Schleich, Savannah Shafto, Kensey Shafto, and Jeremiah Fogle.
Along with her husband Boyd, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Sue Barr of Winchester.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 7, 2025 at Winchester Church of God in Winchester from 10:00 am- 11:00 am. The funeral will follow at 11:00 am at the church with the Rev. Chad Dunford and Kent Woodward officiating. A fellowship meal will follow at the church and burial will be private.
