Mary Linda (Nene) Garcia, 75, of Killeen, passed away Monday, November 10th, 2025 at Scott & White Hospital in Temple. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m., November 18th at the Harper-Talasek Funeral Home on 38th Street in Killeen. Burial will follow at the Killeen City Cemetery. Mary Linda (Nene) was born July 10th, 1950 to Geronimo and Laura Garcia in Del Rio, Texas. Mary Linda (Nene) graduated from Killeen High School, Class of '68. Mary Linda (Nene) worked for over 36 years as a telephone operator as well as other positions for Mid-Tex, then Centel, then Sprint and finally Embarq. She was most happy when surrounded by family and very proud of all of her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was a huge and avid Coca-Cola lover and collector. Those that knew her best knew of her infatuation with napkins! LOL.
Mary Linda (Nene) was proceeded in death by her parents Geronimo & Laura Garcia and her sister Cordelia (Dilly). Those left to honor and cherish her memory are brother Bobby Garcia and wife Patsy (Klorres) Garcia; Mario Garcia and wife Jeanette (Jelen) Garcia; sister Nydia Sharon and husband Don Sharon; nephews Sean Klorres and wife April Klorres; Jarrod Sharon and wife Patrice Sharon; Joshua Sharon; Adrian Garcia. Nieces Jamie Blank and husband Raul Duran, and Gwen Brooks. Great nephews Antonio Brooks, Dakota Klorres, Dillyn Blank, Michael Harris, Jarrod Sharon Jr., and JayDen Brooks. Great nieces Amari Brooks, and Makiya Sharon. Also Friends that were considered family, The Carter Family, Sharon Crawford and Melinda Stalker.
