Alton Dawen Jackson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alton Dawen Jackson, who passed away on November 13, 2025, in Lacey, Washington. Alton was a devoted father, partner, brother, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Born on November 23, 1954, in Zimmerman, Louisiana, to Gertrude and Dave Jackson, Alton attended and graduated from Bolton High School in Alexandria, Louisiana, Class of 1972. Shortly after graduation, he embarked on a distinguished career in the United States Air Force, serving from July 24, 1972, to July 31, 1993. His service took him around the world, including assignments in Taiwan, Japan and the Midwest. After retiring from the Air Force, Alton made Lacey, Washington, his home, where he happily resided for 32 years. Alton had a passion for international travel, cruising, yoga, watching football and baseball and enjoying a good meal. Alton is survived by his daughter DaNay, longtime partner, Isabelle, sisters Linda, Bea, Pedi, Betty, Edna, and Yvonne, as well as many nieces and nephews. His easy-going nature and big smile will be remembered and missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
