Alvin Adam Auernhammer
Passed away Friday, September 6, 2024, at Adira Nursing and Rehab. Age 90 years.
Alvin was born September 5, 1934, in Richville, Michigan, the son of the late Frank A. and Alma (Beyerlein) Auernhammer. He was a graduate of Vassar High School and served in the U. S. Army.
He married Joanne Burza, June 16, 1956. His wife of 68 years survives him. He retired from General Motors, Saginaw Steering Gear with 30 years of service. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Surviving is his wife, Joanne, his sister-in-law, Dorine Auernhammer; seven nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A brother, Reinhold Auernhammer, and two infant sisters predeceased him.
The funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11. 2024, at W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Michael Korte will officiate with burial in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may visit with relatives from 1:00 p.m. Wednesday until the time of the funeral service.
