I was walking by 1315 Walnut Street where Mid America Group´s offices were when I first met Alvin in 1984. So sorry to hear of his passing when I just looked up his name. Mid America was my first client and I started my agency at a spare desk there. Such a kind and fun person! My condolences to Gary and the Block family

I had the privilege of working with Alvin as his secretary in the `70s and early 80´s. For a 17 year old girl fresh out of High School, Alvin was larger than life to me. I learned so much about life in the 8 years I spent at Mid America and Alvin was a huge part of that. We had a wonderful relationship and I grew so fond of Judy and Gary. I remember attending Alvin´s 50th birthday celebration....how fast time goes by. I send my love and condolences to the entire Block family.

Mr Block was a great man... I met him over 30 years ago when he asked me if I would drive him to New York for his business trips. We continued to stay in touch over the years. I had the pleasure to visit and talk with him over the summer. He will be dearly missed, rest in peace my friend.
