Alvin Heggem Obituary

Heggem, Alvin James

HEGGEM, Alvin James, age 69, of Huber Heights, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at his residence. Alvin was a Mail Carrier for the U.S. Postal service, retiring after over 20 years of service. He was a Captain in the U.S. Air Force for 9 years, a member of Way of the Cross Church and also a member of United Letter Carriers Association. Alvin is survived by his loving wife, Veronica S.; sons & daughters-in-law, Brian & Jill, Timothy & Angelique, Jerry & Michelle; sister, Joyce Bennett; brothers, Dan & Lavern Heggem; grandchildren, Brian Jr., Garrett, Lilly, Keanue, Raven; great-granddaughter, Violet; and many other relatives & friends.

Funeral service 12 Noon, Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Way of the Cross Church, 612 Beatrice Avenue with Pastor William Loudermilk officiating. Interment Dayton National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5-7 PM at Marker & Heller Funeral Home, Huber Heights Chapel, 5844 Old Troy Pike.
