Alvin Lamarr Snyder, age 65, of Hanover, was born July 11, 1959, and passed from this world on May 16, 2025 at 1:45 pm, after a long battle with bone cancer. He was the loving husband of Wanda M. (Napp) Snyder; together they shared a love that endured over 40 years of experiences that came their way with humor and perseverance and support from their family
Alvin was employed at P.H. Glatfelter Co. in Spring Grove for 32 years and also drove school bus in addition to his fulltime work at Glatfelter's. He loved to stay active and enjoyed many activities such as roller skating, archery, motorcycle riding, mowing, camping, and anything that kept him busy. Alvin asked the Lord Jesus into his heart in 1984 and was looking heavenward when God called him home.
In addition to his loving wife Wanda, Alvin is also survived by his five sons and one daughter: Isaac and his wife Stephanie, Jamin and his wife Heidi, Douglas, Milton and his wife Nicole, Donovan and his wife Sydney, and Quinn and her husband Kyle. He is also survived by his five grandchildren John, Benjamin, Dean, Luke, and Wren. He is also survived by his siblings Shirley Hunter, Earl Snyder, Russell Snyder, Arlene Eckert, Joyce Bell, Kathy Myers and Janet Heiner. Alvin was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Esther Snyder.
