ALVIN STEWART
Bruce, MS: Alvin Rayburn Stewart age 59, passed away July 3, 2024, at his home.
He was born December 9, 1964, in Jackson and grew up in Jonesboro, AR, the son of June Webb Stewart Findley and the late Chester Rayburn Stewart. He graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1983 and received two degrees from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, a BA in Accounting, and a BA in Business Administration. He worked in various places in Missouri and Alabama and had lived in Bruce, MS the last twenty years working as a cost accountant, for Hayworth, a furniture manufacturer.
He held season tickets for ASU Football since his graduation from there. He enjoyed trips to Florida and loved being with his family.
Mr. Stewart is survived by his mother, June Marie Webb Stewart Findley of Jonesboro, AR and a sister, April Marie Stewart of Jonesboro, AR.; and uncles and aunts, John and Charlotte Webb, James and Rene Webb, Keith and Janice Brown, Julia Parchman, Suzanne Stewart and Kay Stewart.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, July 7th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Bro. Keith Brown officiating. Burial will follow at New Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM service time Sunday.
