Alvin Dale Carter Williams, "Sonny", age 88, of Temple, Georgia passed away October 27, 2024. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Temple, GA. Interment will follow at 3:00 pm at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta, GA. He is preceded in death by his parents Cora Maebelle Melton and Stanford McKinley Williams, loving wife Margaret Williams, brothers SW Williams and James Williams, Sister Virginia Harbin.
Alvin was a native of Shannon, GA living in Temple most of his life. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Temple, GA and was a Mason for over 50 years.
Survivors include: two daughters: Jannan (William H.) Akins of Lithia Springs, GA and Marla (Bryan) Williamson of Dallas, GA; two sons: Jeffrey D. (Tonya) Williams of Kennesaw, GA and Gregory A. (Trayce) Williams of Canton, GA; 17 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Janice (Michael) Bailey.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA and Saturday, November 2, 2024 prior to the service from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Temple, Georgia.
