Loving Memory of Amador Zamora Jr.
It is with deep sorrow and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Amador Zamora Jr., age 66, who entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 24, 2025, in McAllen, Texas. Amador was born in August 1959, in Mission, Texas, to his devoted parents, Amador Zamora Sr. and Estela Flores.
Amador was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, whose gentle heart and cheerful spirit brought light to everyone around him. He was a man who truly enjoyed life always smiling, always ready to make others laugh, and always willing to lend a helping hand. His easy-going personality made him the kind of person everyone loved to be around a true "happy-go-lucky" soul who could find joy in any moment.
A proud and dedicated welder, Amador worked tirelessly throughout his life. His craftsmanship and strong work ethic earned him the respect of his coworkers, friends, and family. Whether on the job or at home, Amador took pride in everything he did. He was the kind of man who believed that hard work and honesty were the foundation of a good life values he passed down to his children and grandchildren.
Amador found his greatest happiness in the company of his family. He loved grilling meat on the weekends, surrounded by laughter, music, and conversation. He had a deep appreciation for the great outdoors it was his sanctuary. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, finding peace and purpose in nature's beauty. Whether by the riverbank with a fishing pole in hand or out in the brush during hunting season, Amador felt truly at home.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter through his two beloved children, Carol Villarreal (Rene) and Alejandro Gonzalez; three cherished grandchildren, Ariell Gadson, Jeremiah Gonzalez, and Naomi Villarreal; and his loving siblings, Ricardo Zamora, Maria Elena Zamora, and Rolando Zamora. He will also be fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever carry him in their hearts.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Flores Funeral Home in Mission, Texas. As per his wishes, cremation will follow.
