Amal Abilmona

Amal Abilmona, 80, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026. Born in Lebanon in 1945, Amal later made her home in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where she lived for many years surrounded by family and friends. She was a kind, loving, and joyful woman whose warm spirit made everyone feel welcome. Amal found great happiness in tending to her flowers, hosting family gatherings, and being present for the people she loved whenever they needed her.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Hassan Abilmona; her sons, Wael Abilmona and Omar Abilmona; her daughters-in-law, Rose Abilmona and Sharon Abilmona, her grandson Nicholas, her brothers Samir Abilmona and Mounir Abilmona and her sister Nazira Abilmona. She leaves behind a large circle of caring family members and dear friends in both the United States and Lebanon who will cherish her memory. Amal's love, generosity, selflessness and gentle presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.

A service will be held at 12:30 pm on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m. for a visitation. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
