Mrs. Amanda Leigh Bowles, 42, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away November 24, 2024. She was born December 3, 1981, to Janet Barr and Richard Conrad in Winston-Salem, NC. Amanda was a lover of life and all the beauty it held. She frequently enjoyed fresh air, hiking, and nature. Amanda was also very creative. She was a talented artist and remarkably quick-witted. From her paintings to her conversations, she was a true original. Amanda’s humble and genuine heart left a lasting impression on everyone around her. She shared her love and happiness so much because for her, it was abundant. When life got tough, she knew she was tougher. Amanda was incredibly determined. While battling cancer for 10 long years, she never gave up on her dreams. She lived her life working towards the goal of being a phenomenal mother and a hardworking, independent woman. She valued all walks of life, being there for anyone who needed a shoulder to lean on. While juggling work and single motherhood, she also extended her kindness to the animals around her. She leaves behind her beloved pets Tank, Gus Gus, River, Reese and her grand kitty, Barbie. Amanda is survived by her children, Grayson Conrad (aka Monkey Toes) and Meredith Bowles (aka Bear Bear), her mother Janet Barr, her father Richard Conrad, her husband Bradley Bowles, her sister Kathi Gortman, her brother Richard Conrad Jr., her nieces and family Hollie Gortman, Sara Armstrong, TJ Overcash, Aralyn Overcash, Elizabeth Overcash, and Devan Renney. Awaiting her in Heaven is her son, Joshua Alan Conrad, and her soul dog, Lucy. Amanda was a true one-of-a-kind blessing from God, and she will be remembered with love and reverence. Her life will be celebrated on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Ardmore Moravian Church, 2013 W Academy St in Winston-Salem, NC.
