Nina Grimes Bowles, age 95, of Columbus, Indiana, passed away in Columbus, Indiana on August 23, 2025. Born in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Nina was a devoted mother and wife who loved time with family, playing cards, and singing. She was a faithful Christian woman.

She is survived by seven siblings: Betty Moore, Shirley Grimes, Barbara Matlock, Judy Hadley, Larry Joe Grimes, Bill Grimes, and Jerry "Wayne" Grimes. Nina also leaves behind one son, Clyde Bowles Jr. (Karen Bowles); four grandchildren, Christy Bowles, Donovan Bowles, Tricia Olson-Gibson (Bob Gibson), and Patrick Bowles (Angelina Bowles); three great-grandchildren, Patrick Bowles Jr., Natalia Bowles, and Sabrina Bowles; and one great-great-grandchild, Aylah Bello. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Omar Bowles, her son Bobby Bowles, and daughter Cathy Olson.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street; with Reverend Lane Loman officiating. Family and friends may gather for visitation from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday. Nina will be laid to rest at Bethel Baptist Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Inidiana
