Dr. Robert A. Percival, DDS, of Nashville, passed away Saturday August 16, 2025 at his home. He was born October 24, 1928 in Indianapolis to Harold C. and Elizabeth J. (Smith) Percival. Dr. Bob graduated from Indiana University with a terminal degree as a doctor of dental surgery. He married Elizabeth A. "Betty" Morello on August 22, 1953, after which he served in the US Army Dental Corp stationed at Ft. Sill Oklahoma. Upon return from the Army, he began his dental practice in Brown County, with Betty working alongside him, serving the local community through the mid-nineties. Bob was a long-time member and elder of the Nashville Christian Church. Bob loved his community and served it in innumerable ways through such organizations as the Indiana National Guard, Gideons International, Boy Scouts, Lions Club, and the Brown County Sheriff's Merit Board. Funeral services will be held Sept 5, 2025 at the Nashville Christian Church with visitation beginning at 9:30 am and the service commencing at 10:30 am. Following the service, he will be laid to rest beside his wife in Brown County Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made at the service to supply food for the women of Zimbabwe through the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Zimbabwe. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Bob is survived by his daughters, Louise Evered, Laura Percival and Suzy (Mike) Smith; his son, Dan Percival; grandchildren, Andrew, Sophia, Jordan, Hannah and Cole and great granddaughters, Harper, Lennox and Morgan. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty, March 4, 2023; a son Bob Percival, May 14, 2019 and his parents.
