Amanda Earline Jester, age 78 of McCaskill, Arkansas, passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, January 26, 2025 in Nashville. She was born in McCaskill on September 25, 1946 to the late Earl Tom Jester and Clara Hile Jester.
Ms. Jester was a member of the Balls Chapel church of Christ. After attending Harding College, she moved to Long Island in New York where she taught school for eleven years. Following this, she returned to McCaskill and taught at Blevins Schools for an additional twenty-eight years. She spent countless hours with her nieces and nephews, as they were the light of her life. She enjoyed reading, cross stitching and doing crossword puzzles. She also loved to play games with those she was around.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gene Earl Jester, and a sister, Brenda Ross.
Survivors include her sister, Deborah Fox and husband, Larry; a brother-in-law, John Allen Ross; a sister-in-law, Lucretia Jester; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Harris Cemetery with Mark Ross and Jerry Nance officiating. Services are under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Nashville.
