Mrs. Amanda Caroleen Sharp Johnson passed away on Sunday November 12, 2023. Amanda was born In Isabel, Bogalusa on May 4, 1935. After graduating high school, she was a bell south operator in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Amanda was married to Robert Johnson on December 25, 1957. They were married for 60 years and had 3 children: Robert E. Johnson, James M. Johnson, and Cheryl K. Johnson.
In 1981, Robert and Amanda fulfilled their lifelong dream of building a home in the Isabel Community where they spent the remainder of their time together. She was very active in the local community and enjoyed working the voting booth during elections and a dedicated member to Isabel Baptist Church. She loved to fish and was a competitive Bowler! Amanda loved gardening and spending time with their grandchildren: Brandy Smith, Amanda (Jodi) Thomas, and Nathan Johnson. Amanda was exceptionally fond of her two great grandchildren: Aiden Thomas and Avery Boone. She was looking forward to meeting her new addition Aurora Elise Sons.
She is survived by the above as well as her brother: J.L. Sharp. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alda Sharp (Mizell) her father, Nathan Sharp, Her two sisters Ruby Jean Evans and Bealuh Enman, her brother Everette Sharp. Her two Grandchildren Cody and Robert Johnson.
Visitation was held November 21, 2024 at Isabel Baptist Church from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
