Klara Uhry Obituary
Klara Gayle Uhry, a resident of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on October 24, 1947, she was the daughter of the late James Andrew Slaydon and Lillian Idell Saucier.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Klara was the heart of her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Albert K. Uhry; her siblings Jerry Slaydon, Bobby Slaydon, Gary Slaydon, Archie Slaydon, and Shirley Friebert; and her son-in-law, Timothy Ingram. She is survived by her loving siblings, Pete Slaydon, Opal Slaydon, and Sheila Barnes.
Klara’s legacy of love continues through her four children and their families:
Michelle Wilson (partner Scott) and her children: Jonathon Wilson, Christopher Wilson, Andrew Wilson, and Steven Wilson; and her grandchildren: Christopher Fox, Leilah Wilson, Azaliah Wilson, Liam Burrows, Lexington Wilson, and Nevaeh Wilson.
Michael Wilson and his children: Michael Wilson, Josh Wilson, Grace Wilson, Elijah Wilson, and Paul Wilson and grandchild Dahlia Wilson.
Albert Wilson (wife Joelle) and his children: Jordan Wilson Judge, Daniel Cajas, Zachary Wilson, and Lauren Sauceda; and his grandchildren: Altonand Jasper.
Ava Ingram Carver (husband Tim) and her daughter, Tiffany Ingram, and grandchildren, Sophia Sparks and Timothy Hicks.
Klara was the proud "G-G" to her cherished great-grandchildren and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of one more on the way.
In accordance with her wishes, a private gathering will be held for her children and grandchildren in Slidell to celebrate her life. The family appreciates your privacy and prayers during this time.
