Amanda Kenyon Obituary

Amanda Kenyon, age 71, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026. Amanda was born on December 29, 1954 to Dr. Richard and Eleanor Jones Grant in Cornelia, Georgia.

Amanda is survived by her husband, Sterling Kenyon of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Eleanor Parker and Pierpaolo Cecot of Marietta; son, Grant Parker of Atlanta; daughter, Quinn Parker of Atlanta; grandchildren, Elio Cecot, Valentino Cecot, and Celeste Cecot of Marietta; step-son, David Kenyon of Los Angeles; sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice McHugh of Blairsville, Beth and Mike Nugent of Salem, SC; and Harriett and Charlie Williams of Mt. Airy; brother-in-law, Dave Robertson of Grayson; and several nieces, nephews, and other family also survive.

Amanda was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Richard and Eleanor Grant; sister, Sally Robertson; and brother-in-law, Dan McHugh.

Services will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 11:00 am from the Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Thomas Cheeseman officiating. The Historic Marietta Chapel is located at 180 Church Street NE; Marietta, GA 30060.

The family will be receiving friends at Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home on Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 10:00am until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at ALZ.org in honor of Amanda.

A Celebration of Life Reception will immediately follow.
