Baue Funeral Home - Cave SpringsAmanda Lynn Morales (née Timmerberg), age 52, joined her beloved parents in the arms of Our Lord on October 15, 2025. Born on September 27, 1973, in Saint Louis, Missouri, to James V Timmerberg and Linda A Timmerberg (née Harwell) Amanda lived a life defined by unwavering faith, boundless creativity, and an unshakable devotion to her family.
A proud graduate of Maryville University with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Amanda brought compassion and dedication to everything she did. But her greatest calling was not found in a title or profession—it was in her role as a mother and wife. Her husband, Armando Morales, and their children—Jacob, Asher, Landon, Allianna, Sophia, and Bella—were the center of her world. Amanda poured her heart into creating a home filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Amanda’s love for arts and crafts was legendary among those who knew her. Her home was a living canvas—each room painted with intricate themes that reflected her vibrant imagination. She had an extraordinary gift for transforming ordinary moments into magical experiences. Whether it was planning elaborate school holiday parties or decorating every inch of her home for each season—from spooky Halloween spider webs and Hocus Pocus displays to a dazzling winter wonderland and hand-picked Easter baskets tailored to each child—Amanda made every celebration feel magical. Where Walt Disney had a mouse, Amanda had poster board, garland, and an unmatched flair for the extravagant.
Her creativity was only matched by the depth of her faith. Amanda held a powerful belief in Our Lord and maintained a deeply spiritual connection throughout her life. Even when faced with trials and tribulations that would have overwhelmed many, she remained steadfast. Her faith serving as a lighthouse guiding her through life’s storms. One of her favorite songs, “When You Come Back to Me Again” by Garth Brooks from the film Frequency, captured this sentiment perfectly: “ And God, somehow you know that ship is me, cause there's a lighthouse in a harbor shining faithfully. Pouring its light out across the water. Where this sinking soul can see, that someone out there still believes in me.” For Amanda, God was always that beacon of hope.
Amanda’s greatest trial and miracle was her son Asher. Asher was born with multiple congenital heart defects requiring a heart transplant at only 40 days old. Amanda practically lived by his bedside until he came home. At every turn it seemed Asher might be called home, but time and time again God saw him through. While Amanda always believed these miracles to be entirely the work of God, we know that she acted as The Lord’s hand guiding the doctors, nurses, and specialists ensuring that Asher received the best care possible. This past year Asher was diagnosed with a rare cancer. The family worried that Asher might not beat this or even be willing to fight. However, through Amanda’s strong love, faith, and support Asher fought and won his battle with cancer. Once again, Amanda thanked God, taking little credit for her role in yet another of Asher’s miracles. While all parents love their children and most honestly say they would do anything for them, Amanda proved time and time again that she truly was willing to do anything to protect her miracle.
I would be remiss If I failed to mention Amanda’s deep love for theme parks and thrill seeking adventures that she made sure to share with her family. Amanda specifically loved traveling to Walt Disney World and Universal Studios in Orlando, and Disneyland in Anaheim when visiting family in California. We know she hoped to visit Universal’s Epic Universe with her daughter Sophia. Amanda always made sure to protect the magic of these parks. While some days we were all worn out trying to keep up with her, and ready to go home long before she was, that only shows how magical these places still managed to be to her. It also showed how much she loved sharing these experiences with her family. She would often be hurt that she was not able to see everyone, and their expressions on the rides. This was because, to her, it was almost more important to watch others enjoy and experience the parks, than actually experience them herself. This love was instilled in each of her children, as they all often reminisce about their wonderful park days with Mom. Further, her eldest son Jacob’s greatest wish is to have been able to experience The E.T. Adventure one last time with his mom, who waited over three hours with him to ride it on their first trip to Orlando.
Amanda’s fierce love and kindness touched everyone she met. She was the consummate mother—nurturing, protective, and endlessly giving. Finally at peace and no longer in pain, or having to worry about her children, Amanda is in the eternal embrace of God. While her legacy lives on in the hearts of everyone she met, who carry on her love, kindness, and absolute faith in God.
