San Leandro, California, to Jerry and Gloria Johnson. She spent her early years attending school in Hayward, California, and later graduated from West High School in Bakersfield, California, in 1989. She continued her education at Bakersfield Community College, where she earned her Associate's degree before fulfilling her calling to become a registered nurse.

She married her best friend, Max, and together they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and faith. Amanda adored her two pugs, PeePee and BoyBoy, loved spending time at the beach, and was known for being fun, silly, and full of warmth. Her faith was central to her life, and she loved the Lord deeply.
