Amanda Margaret "Mandee" Rodriguez, 41, formerly of Malone, died Sunday, September 14, 2025, at her residence in Cohoes, as a result of a homicide.
She was born in Malone, December 22, 1983, the daughter of Robert Bell and Crystal McNamara Rodriguez. Mandee grew up in Malone and graduated from Franklin Academy High School in 2002.
She worked for Tiny Tax for several years until its closure, and then worked at Paul Smith's College as a security guard for a short time. In 2011, she began working for Twin Lakes in Clifton Park as a lease agent, later worked at Oak Brook Commons as a lease agent and lastly she was employed at Apex Sewer and Drain Company in Albany.
Mandee was the best big sister to her brother, that he could have ever wished for. She prioritized taking care of her little brother over and above anything else.
She loved all four of her fur babies; to her they were her kids.
Left to cherish the memory of Mandee are, her mother and step-father, Crystal Rodriguez and Richard Belrose; brother, Carlos; step-father, Ernest Rodriguez, who she admired very much and referred to as dad; father, Robert Bell; and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Martin and Carolyn McNamara; uncle, Ross McNamara; paternal grandparents, Margaret and Wellington Bell; uncle, Tom Bell; Aunts, Karen Boyer and Carole Bell; and two cousins, John Tryon and Daniel Bell.
In consideration of a central location between her Cohoes family as well as her Malone family, a celebration of her life will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025 from Noon to 4 PM in the Gold Room at the Rainbow Banquet Hall, 47 Woods Falls Road, Altona, NY, 12910. As Mandee would want, please dress casual and if you're able, please wear purple in recognition of domestic violence.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family, in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Malone.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Bangor Animal Shelter, C/O Kim Barcomb, 152 Coal Hill Rd, North Bangor, NY 12966.
