Amber Lynn Dalley
January 3, 2020 – November 1, 2025
Our sweet Amber Lynn Dalley, age 5, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025. Amber was born on January 3, 2020, to Alex and Rachel Dalley, and was a cherished big sister to Claire.
Amber's life, though short, was filled with joy, light, and love. She bravely faced a rare genetic condition, Canavan Disease, a neurodegenerative disorder that prevented her from developing as most children do, yet she met every day with a radiant smile that could brighten any room. She was blessed to attend the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind, where she made many wonderful friends and adored her teachers. Amber truly loved going to school and cherished every moment there.
Though Amber's vision was imperfect, she always loved lights-especially Christmas lights. One year, while not the typical tradition, the family set the Christmas tree up extra early so Amber could enjoy the sparkle and glow that brought her so much happiness. Her love of the lights reflected her own bright spirit, which illuminated every space she was in.
She found great happiness in being outdoors-whether surrounded by Utah snow or enjoying the warmth of 110-degree Nevada sunshine-often aided by her loving parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles. She especially loved family walks. Her favorite treats were chocolate milk and "peanut butter surprise" (peanut butter oatmeal). Amber's laughter was contagious, especially during her favorite game-a "coughing competition," where she'd trade coughs endlessly to see who would give up first.
She enjoyed watching Bluey and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with her little sister, Claire, and listening to her favorite song, "Faith" by George Michael, which always made her squeal with delight, especially when held in the arms of a dancing mother and father. Amber also loved attending Primary at church, where she was surrounded by countless friends. More than anything, Amber loved to snuggle and to hold hands with anyone who came near-her love and light touched every heart she met.
Amber is survived by her parents, Alex and Rachel Dalley, her sister, Claire, and her grandparents, Phil and Becky Struthers and Christopher and Susan Dalley. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, November 8th, beginning at 9:30 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the Cedar Hollow Stake Center, 2178 N 1200 E,
Lehi, Utah.
The Dalley family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to
Make-A-Wish Utah, Primary Children's Medical Center, the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind teachers and staff, her Primary teachers, the Lehi Police and Fire Departments, and the many others who cared for and loved Amber throughout her life.
Amber's laughter, light, and love will remain in our hearts forever.
