Amber Elizabeth Brown Hilred, age 47, passed away at home surrounded by family and friends on Friday, September 19, 2025. Amber was born on November 3, 1977, in New Orleans, LA to her beloved parents Paula Lawrence and Russel Brown. She attended West Jefferson High School, where she graduated in 1997. Amber was a loving mother to her children, a kind heart to her family, and a best friend to all those that came into her life. She loved everyone and forgave all without reservations. Amber offered warmth without judgement, laughter without effort, and love without end. She was the kind of person you wanted in your life. Amber fought with determination and grace, inspiring everyone who knew her. She wasn’t ready to quit the fight, but God was ready to call her home, to end her suffering, and make her new again. You left us too soon, but your spirit will forever live in our hearts.
Amber is survived by her children Cameron, Jonathan, Ethan, and Kathryn. Her sisters Jessica Stallings (Justin) and Dawn Henning-Schulze. Her second Mother Julie Brown, Her life-long best friends Christy Lucas Santos and Jeanine Chiasson. She also leaves behind lots of nieces and nephews which she adored. Amber is preceded in death by her grandparents Doris and James Lawrence, Barbara and Bobby Brown, Richard Acton. The family would like to say Thank you to Marva (RN) and Crystal (CNA) with Heart of Hospice.
The family will honor the life of Amber privately, without holding a public service or gathering.
