Ricky William Weaver, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on November 27, 2025, in Gretna, Louisiana. Born on June 27, 1963, in Marrero, Louisiana. Ricky lived a life defined by kindness, generosity, and an unwavering willingness to help others. Beloved husband to Julie Saffrhan - Weaver. Father of Brandon Weaver (Lauren), Bryce Weaver, Laura Foret, Lucas Liuzza, Marley Saffrhan (Nick). Grandfather of Carra Mae, and Charli Weaver. Brother of Angela Landry (Sam), Laura Matthew (Tim), and the late Paula Ann Weaver. Son of Loretta Cavallo Weaver, and the late Noel William Weaver Jr. Also survived by nieces and nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
For 20 years, Ricky owned and operated Quality Parking Lot and Striping. He became a familiar face to those in the New Orleans area. He was not just a businessman; he was a true friend to anyone in need, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a warm smile.
A proud graduate of John Ehret High School, class of 1981, Ricky's life was characterized by a love for his community and a desire to connect with those around him. His personality shined brightly through his involvement in Pard Playground and clubs such as Combel's Custom Cruisers and the Gretna Sportsman Club, where he fostered friendships and shared countless memories.
Ricky's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His life was a testament to the power of compassion and connection, and he leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue in the hearts of his family and friends. As we remember Ricky William Weaver, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with kindness a life that touched so many others.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a church service at Calvary Baptist Church, 2401 General De Gaulle Dr., New Orleans, LA, on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 2 p.m. Following the service, a celebration of life will be held at Gretna Sportsman's Club, 422 20th St., Gretna, LA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Combel's Custom Cruisers in memory of Ricky Weaver.
