Wanda Chilone Smith Emery departed this life at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the age of 47. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Westwego, LA. Wanda attended John Ehret High School and was employed as a food server at Lambeth House. Beloved wife of Donald Emery. Devoted mother of Anthony Smith, Denzel Smith, Donalvan Emery, Diamond Smith, Daron Smith, Wayne Smith, Tia’Juana Emery, and Donald Emery, Jr. Loving grandmother of Jayce Thomas, Cherish Smith, and Jarielle Williams. Daughter of the late Norman Seymore, Sr. and Rita Mae Smith Brooks. Granddaughter of the late Freddie Smith, Betsy Hilliard Blanks, Frank and Leggard Seymoure. Loving sister of Frederick (Lisa) Seymore, Norman (Deatrice) Seymore, Jr., Corey Smith, Norman Seymoure, Darian McPherson, Trina (Bobby) Hardy, Lakischia Smith, Yalanda (Earl) Owens, Natalie Seymoure, Trinnellia Anderson, Meshell Anderson, and Franseca Seymoure. Also cherishing her memories are her godmother Brenda Seymore, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Jesus Christ Apostolic Lighthouse Kingdom Ministries and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Jesus Christ Apostolic Lighthouse Kingdom Ministries, 1001 Victory Drive, Westwego, LA on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 11:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church.
