DERRICE G. WILSON

Derrice G. Wilson Jr. entered into eternal rest at this residence on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the age of 55 surrounded by his loving family. He was a native and lifelong resident of Marrero, LA. Derrice was a proud graduate of John Ehret High School, and he was formerly employed with Environmental Services at Maison De La Luz. He will be remembered for his love of family, his dedication to those closest to him, and the many memories he created with friends and loved ones throughout his life.Devoted husband of Shantell M. Wilson. Loving father of Derrice G. Lewis Jr. (Maleech), Diamond Washington, Dakari Wilson, and Jamya Wilson. Bonus father of Raheim, Shaniah and Aries Smith. Son of Joshlar Jackson and the late Derrice G. Wilson Sr. Grandfather of Damani Smith, Dallas Smith, Akacia Smith, and Kaisley Wilson. Brother of Kerry Jackson, Kevin Jackson, and Kimberly Jackson. Derrice is survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life service at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Lawrence Vaughn officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. until service time at the parlor. Interment: Providence Memorial Park Cemetery-Metairie, LA.
