Ambrosio Bernal Jr. a dedicated family man and hardworking individual who never meet a stranger passed away on February 20, 2024. He was born on January 11,1942 in Lubbock, TX to Ambrocio Bernal Sr. and Louisa Moreno Bernal. The family moved to College Station, TX. where he graduated from A&M Consolidated High School. Ambrosio was the first Mexican American that played for College Station Little League. He met the love of his life, Irma, in Bryan, Texas and they married on October 27, 1962. 

Ambrosio's career as a press operator at Moore Business Forms was only the beginning of his journey. During that time he was also a partner in business with his brother-in-law operating Sausage Hut, a barbeque spot. But after retiring, he embarked on a new adventure with his wife Irma by opening the Flamingo Lounge, where they meet lifelong friends.

One of Ambrosio's proudest accomplishments was teaching his children and grandchildren strong work ethics, family values, and leadership qualities. He coached his children's baseball and softball teams and enjoyed taking summer trips to Astroworld with his kids and their friends. He found joy in spending quality time with family engaging in activities like cornhole and playing games and watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren excel in sports and all of their activities. Ambrosio was a master of the grill; his barbeques were legendary among friends and loved ones. He was a big sports fanatic with a deep love for the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Astros, and the fighting Texas A&M Aggies. 

He is preceded by his parents, Ambrocio Bernal Sr. and Louisa Moreno Bernal; brother Roy Bernal; in laws Joe and Susie Garcia; and brothers and sister in laws Joseph Garcia, Robert Garcia, Rudy Garcia and Sylvia Garcia. 

Ambrosio is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Irma Garcia Bernal; children, Nancy Velasquez (Dennis), Arick Bernal (Michelle), Debby Heckler (Brian); his grandchildren, Ashley Ramos (Crockett), Cody Deleon (Rosa), Sara Brightwell (Kyle), Brittany Ramos (Miguel), Amber Espiriqueta (Mark), Karissa Bernal (Jessica), Roy Arevalo Jr. (Richell), Leslie Arevalo (Renee), Ambrosio Arevalo, Addison Heckler and Corbin Heckler; 19 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Viola Milazzo; brother-in-law Arthur Garcia; and many nieces and nephews. 

In honoring Ambrosio Bernal's memory, let us remember him for the dedication he showed to his loved ones, the joy he brought to every gathering, and the value he instilled in those around him. His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness and unwavering support. 

A Visitation will be held Monday, February 26, 2024 from 5-7pm at Hillier of BRYAN.  The Funeral Service will take place Tuesday, February 27 from 2-23pm at Hillier of BRYAN and followed by a Graveside Service at Bryan City Cemetery, 1111 N Texas Ave, Bryan, TX 77803.
