Ambus Edward "Beau" Jackson passed away January 2, 2026 at the age of 71. He was born October 19, 1954 to the late Mozell Jackson and Willie Esther Tucker Jackson

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gerald Dempsey Jackson, Earl Wayne Jackson; sister, Lila Jane (Sam) Fancher

Beau was a true outdoorsman at heart, finding joy in the natural world. He dedicated countless hours to hunting deer and turkey, savoring every moment spent in the tranquility of the woods. Fishing for crappie brought him relaxation, a welcome escape where he could reflect on life and enjoy the great outdoors. His love for barbecuing was unmatched; his ribs were legendary, so mouthwatering that they would make you want to eat right down to the bone. He took pride in this talent, knowing that gatherings around his grill fostered connections and memories with family and friends.

His greatest accomplishment lay in his appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. Beau taught those around him to slow down and enjoy what truly mattered—the laughter shared, the warmth of a family gathering, and the beauty found in nature's embrace. He lived life authentically, a trait that resonated with everyone fortunate enough to share in his journey.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Debbie Jackson; children, Jennifer (Raymond) Robinson, James Jackson and Jared Jackson; grandchildren, Rena Robinson, Ryan Robinson and Haydon Pratt Jackson; siblings, Katherine (Charlie) Hubbard, Larry Lee Jackson; sister-in-law, Judy Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Cambridge Christian Church with Larry Nickles officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home of Selma directing. Interment will follow in the church graveyard. Visitation will begin at the church at 10:00 a.m., prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Chris Fancher, James Jackson, Barry Childress, John Brunson, T.J. Sheehan and John Sheehan.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Cambridge Christian Church Cemetery Fund.
