Amedeo Manzin Obituary
ROME, Italy - Amedeo Dario Manzin, lover of music, art and nature, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2005, in Rome, Italy, his beloved city of birth. On Sept. 18, 1976, in Traverse City, he married Diane Olenzak.
He grew to love this area of lakes and woods before moving to Seattle in 1981. In the Northeast, he delighted in nature photography, hiking, camping, opera, cooking his native cuisine and dedicating himself to volunteer work for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
Leaving Seattle in 1996, he and Diane moved to San Benedetto Del Tronto on the Adriatic Sea Coast of Italy, where he reconnected with his culture and homeland.
Surviving him in the United States are his wife, Diane Manzin; sister-in-law, Rosie (Matt) Teeter; and brother-in-law, Bob (Susie) Olenzak; two nieces and a nephew. In Italy, he is survived by a brother, sister, three nephews and a niece.
Amedeo will be deeply missed by all who loved him in Traverse City, Seattle and Italy.
Services will be held in Italy.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
