Amelia Alarcon, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away in Apache Junction, Arizona, on August 22, 2025, at the age of 89. Born in Buenaventura, Chihuahua, on May 13, 1936, Amelia lived a life full of love, strength, and devotion to those she cared for, as well as her God, Jehovah.

She was a woman of quiet strength, often showing her love through action rather than words. She worked tirelessly throughout her life, holding many different roles, from cabinet maker to Miracle Maid cookware salesperson, where she excelled, to caregiver. She was fiercely independent, a trait that shaped her character and allowed her to provide for her children in ways that words alone could never fully express. She had a deep appreciation for nature, particularly the majestic mountains, which she often admired. Her passion for knitting was one of the many ways she shared her creativity and warmth with others.

Amelia is survived by her two children, Amy and Isaac, her siblings Elida, Cleto, Irene, Esperanza, Maria and Demetrio, and their families, as well as a large circle of cherished friends. Amelia will be greatly missed, but we take comfort in the hope of seeing her again, as promised in Job 14:15, according to the words of her Creator, Jehovah. Her legacy of hard work, devotion, and faith will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

A memorial service will be held 12:00 pm, Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Samaritan Funeral Home, located at 1505 E McDowell Rd, Phoenix, AZ. Family and friends are invited to attend to honor her memory.

For those unable to attend the service in person, a virtual gathering will be held via Zoom.
