Amelia (Amy) Frances Brusca, 81, of Churchill, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, at the William Penn Care Center in Penn Township. Born on January 12, 1944, in Pittsburgh, she was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Granata) Brusca. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Michael Brusca, and her cousin, Dr. Anthony Brusca.

A devoted woman of faith and a cherished cousin, aunt, and friend, Amelia lived her life with gentleness, generosity, and unmistakable warmth. As a retired AP Biology teacher, she inspired curiosity and a love of learning in countless students, leaving an impact that extended far beyond the classroom.

Amelia found great joy in traveling to Italy. It was a place where beauty, faith, and family traditions intertwined. She delighted in fine dining and cherished every opportunity to share a good meal with the people she loved. Quick-witted and sharp, she was a formidable trivia partner, but as sweet as the Godiva chocolates she adored. Always poised and impeccably stylish, she carried herself with the grace of someone who truly loved the beauty in life.

Above all, Amelia loved God and her family deeply. Her generosity was constant and quiet, rooted in a sincere desire to comfort and uplift those around her. Anyone who knew her felt the radiance of her spirit-warm, genuine, and profoundly kind. Her legacy of love, faith, and joy will continue to shine through her family, friends, and the many students whose lives she touched. She will be forever loved, dearly missed, and gratefully remembered.

Amelia is survived by her cousins, Frances (Adrian) Chesler and Maureen Brusca, as well as her nieces and nephews: Michelle Loughery, Karen Skaro, Joseph Brusca, and Michael Brusca.

A funeral Mass for Amelia will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at St. John Fisher Church of the St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Churchill, followed by entombment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church.
