Apreciaba cada momento junto a su familia y disfrutaba jugar lotería cada vez que podía, especialmente en los días festivos. Su amor, alegría y ternura unieron siempre a la familia. Ella fue el lazo que mantuvo a todos juntos. Siempre será amada y por siempre recordada. "El Señor es mi pastor; nada me faltará."- Salmo 23:1
A Amelia le sobreviven, su esposo Jose M. Ojeda, con quien estuvo casada 64 años; hijo, Rafael (Irma) Ojeda; 4 hijas, Evangelina (Benjamin) Cortez, Rosa (Reynaldo) Guillen, Maria (Vicente) Ruiz y Aracely Ojeda (Fredrik Hays); 17 nietos y 14 bisnietos.
Precedida en la muerte son sus papas, 2 hijos Carmelo y Jose Angel Ojeda y una hermana, Rosa Montes.
