Amelia C. (Nechuta) Osterbrink, age 90, formerly of Halder who was a current resident of Acorn Hill assisted living center Mosinee, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 20, 2023, in the loving embrace of family to enter eternity along with joining her husband Patrick and son Timothy in their heavenly home.
Millie was born into this world on September 3rd, 1932, as the 8th of 10 children to Joseph and Veronica (Balvanka) Nechuta, who immigrated with their families in 1906 from the province of Bohemia located in the Czech Republic.
In her early years, Millie attended The Rocky Ridge school house which was a one room facility. Upon graduating from the 8th grade, she worked on the Nechuta family farm and held a few odd jobs. On May 3rd !957 she was united in marriage at St. Patricks Catholic Church located in Halder Wisconsin to the love of her life Patrick H. Osterbrink who left this world in October of 2010. Six children were born through this union: Karen Bugni (Joe) Marshfield, Michael Osterbrink (Joanne) Portola, California (Timothy Osterbrink deceased in 2013) Debra Osterbrink/Schroeder/Brooks) Mosinee, Gary Osterbrink Mosinee, and Patrick Osterbrink Jr. Jefferson, Wisconsin. Amelia Is also survived by four grandchildren Joseph A. Bugni (significant other (Liz)Minneapolis MN, Gina Bugni/Wikenheiser (Matthew) Fargo N.D., Brian Schroeder (Julie) Fond du lac Wisconsin and Amanda Schroeder /Hutton (Ethan) Esterillos, Puntarenas, Costa Rica.
In addition, she has 5 great grandchildren: Emma Jo Wikenheiser, Claire Schroeder, Adric Schroeder, Aubry Hutton, and August Hutton, plus one surviving brother William Nechuta (Nancy). She was preceded in death by her husband Pat and son Tim along with parents Joseph and Veronica and brothers Ben (Virgina),Joe (Dorlin), John (Evelyn), Martin and Charles and 3 sisters Francis Thanig (Glen) Ruth Thanig (Justin) and Veronica Brandt (Kenneth).
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am, on Friday, March 24, 2023, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Halder. The Rev. Joseph Nahkwah will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Patrick's Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service, all at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences and memories can be directed to the family at www.bestefh.com.
