She was born April 20, 1939 in La Lima, Honduras and came to Waukegan in 1964.
America was a Member of Most Blessed Trinty Church in Waukegan and the Honduras Association of Waukegan.
She is survived by her children, Rommel (Patricia) Guzman of Gurnee, Rosel (Maria) Guzman of Waukegan, Jessica (Jose) Mencia of Miami, Florida, Jesus "Jesse" Sanchez, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Jaun Garcia of Miami, Florida; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; siblings, Esperanza "Pera" Santos, Fredrico (Yolanda) Araque, Yolando Rojas; and many nieces and nephews.
America is preceded in death by her son, Ronald Nuñez; brother, Manuel Araque and parents, Augustin Araque and Aurora Montejo.
Chapel service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville.
Interment will be at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville.
