Ametetsion "Tsion" Debbas

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved Tsion Debbas, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who left us peacefully at the age of 71.
Tsion was a cherished figure in our lives, known for her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love for her family, friends, and community. She dedicated her life to nurturing and caring for those around her, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone she met.
Born on May 9, 1952 in Asmara, Eritra Tsion lived a life full of passion and dedication. Her journey was marked by her commitment to her family, her love for God, and her endless pursuit of knowledge.
She is survived by her loving Husband Berhane Eguale, children Emebet Eguale & Nini Eguale, grandchildren Eidmond, Rahel, Hanna, Yabsira, Adniel, Haben & Hiyab and her great grand-children, Habel, Elad & Melona and her cousins, extended family, friends, and community who will miss her dearly.
A celebration of Tsiona's life will be held on November 16, 2023 at St Jude's Catholic Church located at 12701 Veirs Mill Rd, Rockville, MD 20853 beginning at 10:30am. We invite those who knew her to join us in honoring her memory. Her spirit will forever live in our hearts the stories we share and the memories we hold dear.
