Amie Lee Stephens age 67 of Jacob City, FL passed away Wednesday December 10th in the Southeast Health Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama surrounded by her love ones.
Amie Lee Stephens was born October 29, 1958 in Jacob City, FL to the late Rosie Lee and Grady Stephens, Sr. Being raised in a Christian home, she accepted Christ at the age of 12 and joined St. Mary M. B. Church located in Jacob City, FL where she was a dedicated member of the choir. Amie was a graduate of Graceville High School class of 1979 and she received a certification for food preparation in culinary arts from Washington County Vocational Technical School located in Chipley, FL.
Amie worked as a Dietitian Aide at the Marianna Health & Rehabilitation Center in Marianna, FL. She was loved by all of her residents who loved to see her walk in wearing her vibrant scrubs and flowers to match. She always had a smile and a song for her residents during her 20 year career, prior to retirement.
Amie was a hardworking devoted and reliable spouse, mother, nana, sister, aunt, godmother, cousin and friend. She was always willing to help others in need. She would give you her last or the shirt off of her back. She loved singing, telling old stories, watching movies with her grandchildren, shopping with Jewell, taking rides with Leroy and spending time with family.
Amie transitioned from this earthly life on December 10, 2025 at Southeast Health Medical Center in Dothan, AL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandmother: Martha Henderson, siblings: Grady, Jr., Louise, Maggie, Sonny James, Janice, Bernice, James Henderson, Azelene, Henry Lee, Lonnie Ester, Lonnie Sylvester, Vivian Holland and Jenkins Early.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her beloved spouse of 40 years: Leroy White; children: Shedletha Jones of Villa Rica, GA, Shuntriea and Trelencia White of Jacob City, FL; grandchildren: Ta'Neia Smith, NaRiyah George, Zacchaeus White, Ivan George and Goni Moore; beloved siblings: Katherina Beechem (Clint) of Dothan, AL; Jewelene Thomas (Darrel), Katherine Bell (Herman) and Eldory Stephens (Malcolm) of Jacob City, FL; Lenora Stephens (Tony) of Chipley, FL, James Stephens (Patty) of Dothan, AL, Caroline Dows (Larry) of Detroit, MI; mother-in-law: Josephine White Long; aunt: Martha Lee Russell; uncle: Willie C. Baldwin; brother and sister-in-laws: Eddie White (Queen) of West Palm Beach, FL, Mary Jean Early Mae Armstead (Willie), Shirley Nettles Windy Gardner all of Marianna, FL, Charlene Moxey of West Palm Beach, FL, Regina Garner, Leo White (Gwen) and Latorish Gardner all of Tallahassee, FL; God children: TieKeyrea, Jada, Xaria, Ariel, Faith, Serenity and Alzeron; special cousins: Faye Henderson, Vivian Webb, Jeff Bell and Lottie Spires; and a host nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
