Amos Carl Averill, 67, of Batesville, died on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. He was born on December 15, 1957, in Adrian, Michigan, to the late Amos Carl Averill, Sr., and Janice (McNicole) Averill. Amos loved the outdoors. He enjoyed paramotoring, camping, canoeing, scuba diving, and just being in nature. He loved animals too, which put him even more at home outdoors. Amos also enjoyed playing the guitar and spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed and forever loved by those who were blessed to know him.
Amos is preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by his two daughters, Amber Wallis of Batesville, AR, and Chrissy Huett (Drew) of Plumerville, AR; his sister, Wendy Averill of Grubbs, AR; his 4 grandchildren, Drake Huett of Russellville, AR, Lynden Wallis of Batesville, AR, Joseph Wallis of Batesville, AR, and Haley Horn (Ryker) of Searcy, AR; and one great grandson, Noah Horn.
Services are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville, AR. There will be a visitation on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 6 PM until 8 PM at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville, AR. There will be a graveside service, officiated by Drew Huett, on Friday morning, October 24, 2025, at 10 AM, at Blue Springs Cemetery in Newark, AR. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Rusty Averill, Joseph Wallis, Drew Huett, Cliff Mullins, Ryker Horn, and Mike Davis.
