Amparo Ann Ramirez, age 80, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Born on March 28, 1945, in Alamo, Texas, Amparo lived a life marked by resilience, warmth, and an unwavering devotion to her family.
Throughout her life, Amparo was known for her vibrant spirit and generous heart. She was a woman who gave selflessly to those around her—whether as a devoted mother, loving grandmother, caring sister, or loyal friend. Before the onset of dementia nearly seven years ago, she was a hardworking presence in the lives of those she loved. Her days were filled with purpose as she poured her energy into caring for others and creating a home full of love and laughter.
Amparo found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She especially loved singing and dancing to express her joyful nature that brought smiles to those around her. Her presence lit up any room she entered, and her laughter was both comforting and contagious. She also had the love for food, especially with her son-in-law Roland’s Fideo. If she could, Amparo would finish every meal with a Coke. Like her husband, she loved her midnight runs to Whataburger.
She is lovingly remembered by her three children: Raquel Ramirez-Olivarez married to Roland Olivarez, and their children: Skyla Ann Martinez married to Robert Manuel Martinez and son Romeo Julian Martinez; Roland Olivarez II married to Annessa Olivarez and children Aria and Koa Olivarez; Randy Olivarez; and Abby Olivarez; Rebecca Castro-Lowe married to John David Lowe and his two daughters: Miranda LeeAnn Castro and Madison Reese Lowe; and Romeo Ramirez, Jr., married to Amanda Ramirez and children: Dylan Sanchez, Brooklyn Alexis Ramirez, Bennett Riddick Ramirez, and Barrett Hudson Ramirez.
She also leaves behind two cherished sisters, Olga Corona and Betty Espinosa. Amparo now joins in eternal rest her very beloved husband Romeo; her sisters Evelyn and Oralia Baltierra; and her brothers Ramiro Espinosa and Junior Espinosa. The thought of their reunion brings comfort to those mourning her loss.
Though dementia gradually took away many of Amparo’s memories in recent years, it never diminished the love she inspired or the legacy she leaves behind.
May Amparo Ann Ramirez be remembered for the love she gave so freely and the joy she brought into the world. May her memory bring peace to all who knew and loved her.
Grateful for your kindness and prayers; God bless you all.
