March 30, 1970 – December 22, 2024
Amy Marie Bashaw, age 54 of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 22, 2024, at the Seacrest Nursing Home.
Amy was born on March 30, 1970, in Monroe. She was the daughter of Linda Weier and the late Lawrence Bashaw. Amy received her special education through Monroe County Intermediate School District, graduating in 1996. Amy enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics in any event.
In her free time, Amy loved to color and watch her favorite movie, The Wizard of Oz on repeat. Amy's favorite food was macaroni and cheese with sprite followed by a 3 Musketeers candy bar for dessert.
Amy had a good memory and remembered everyone she met. She always had a big smile and hug for anyone who wanted one. Amy was always loveable and showed it through her many nieces, nephews as well as her great nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Beloved daughter of Linda Weier. Loving sister of Mary Bashaw and Darren Bashaw. Dearest aunt of Clete McLaughlin, Robert McLaughlin, Angel McLaughlin, Joseph Bashaw, Briana Pittman, Ada Pittman, Desire Bashaw, Dillon Bashaw, and Jessica Bashaw. Great aunt of Kori, Ka'miya, Kai'yr, Kairi, Kareem, plus many more.
In addition to her father, Lawrence Bashaw, Amy was preceded in death by a great niece: Kailana Moncelli.
Everyone is invited to a visitation on Saturday December 28, 2024, at Rupp Funeral Home from 1 pm until the time of service starting at 4 pm. Officiating is Rev. Larry Detruf. Services will conclude in cremation.
