Funeral Services for Amy Brooks Carter are Friday, November 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment is at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie.
Mrs. Carter, 49 years old, died Friday, November 10, 2023 at Baptist Health, Paducah, KY. She is a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, Greenfield, a graduate of McKenzie High School and Bethel University, a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority at Bethel and a LPN for Carey Counseling. She was born in Huntingdon on January 30, 1974 to Ernest and Lou Jean King Brooks.
She is survived by her husband Melvin Carter, Jr. of McKenzie, her parents Ernest and Lou Jean Brooks, of McKenzie, three sons Michael Carter of McKenzie, Andre Carter of Monterey, CA and Matthew Carter of McKenzie, a sister Regina Thompson of McKenzie, a brother Ernest (Kay) Brooks, Jr of Greenfield and one granddaughter A’Launa Carter.
