Amy Denmon Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bates Cooper Sloan Funeral Home - Mount Pleasant on Jun. 5, 2025.
Amy Jeanette Denmon, 54, of Cookville, Texas, passed away on June 1, 2025. Born on July 8, 1970, in Mineola, Texas, Amy was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her radiant smile could light up any room, and her unforgettable laugh could be heard from a mile away. She was truly one of a kind.
Amy dedicated her life to caring-for people, for animals, and especially for her family. She was a passionate and talented pet groomer who made a career out of loving and nurturing animals. Her clients and their furry companions cherished her gentle touch and big heart.
Of all her roles in life, being "Gigi" to her grandchildren brought her the greatest joy. She adored Ember, Kacey, and Tinley and never missed a birthday, holiday, or event. Her presence at family gatherings was filled with warmth, laughter, and a love that will never fade.
In her younger years, Amy served her community as a firefighter and first responder-an era of her life that brought her pride and purpose. During that time, she was also a devoted wife to Todd Brown, the father of her children. Her strength, courage, and compassion touched countless lives.
Amy is survived by her parents, Frank Denmon (Jeannie Cantrell) and LeeAnn Motley (Wiley Motley); her children, Sabrina Fouse (husband Patrick), Cody Brown (significant other Brooklyn Bowman), and Alex Allen (wife Nicole); and her cherished grandchildren, Ember, Kacey, Allison, Nathyn, and Tinley, and greatgrandchild Maleigh.
She is also survived by her siblings: Christy Purdon (Shannon), BJ Wagner, Donovan Denmon (significant other Angie Richie), and Samantha Denmon, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her honor to a local animal rescue or domestic violence support organization.
Amy will always be remembered, deeply loved, and her memory forever honored.
Amy has been cremated per her wishes, her remains will be buried at Friendship Cemetery located at 22604 County Road 3107 Gladewater, Texas 75647 at 11 am June 14, 2025 followed by a Memorial with lunch provided at 12:30pm at The Country Tavern, located at 1526 FM 2767 Kilgore, Texas 75662.
