Gregory Bernard Denmon was born on December 3, 1953 to the late Charles Sr. and Eloas Denmon. On Tuesday October 7, 2025 he gained his wings at his home in Wilmington, Delaware.
Gregory attended DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx, NY. After completing his education, he served four years in the United States Navy. The USS Saratoga (CV-60) as an Aircraft Airmen, stationed in Mayport, FL. He was honorably awarded the National Defense Service Medal (NDSM) during the Vietnam war. Gregory later worked several years and retired as a Garment Route Driver in the NYC garment district.
Gregory's smile was impeccable, and everyone loved him. He enjoyed fishing, basketball (GO CELTICS!!), music, football (GO NY GIANTS!!) and let’s not forget he loved his cold ones. Dapper Dan didn't have anything on Gregory because when he stepped out, he showed out. From the wide brim hats, three-piece suits, alpaca sweaters, and alligator shoes.
Gregory was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Lester, and his favorite Aunt Lillian.
He leaves to cherish his siblings Charles Jr, Denise, Deborah (Mark), and Michael. Daughters Jackie, Jenell, and Kimberly (Myles). Grandchildren, Makeda Myra, and Menkaure Gregory. Nephews, Nathaniel III, Nicholas, Maurice, Michael Jr., Jared, and great nephew Jaleil. Nieces, Nichole, Alexis, Nia, and great niece Anari Tru.
Over 60 years of childhood friendship Gary and Patsy. His caring, supportive companion, Patricia Bennett, also a host of other relatives, family and friends.
