Kenneth Douglas Obituary

Kenneth E. Douglas was born on November 4, 1957, in Wilmington, Delaware, to Dorothy Mae Douglas and John Howell. He passed away on February 15, 2026, at Hillside in Wilmington, Delaware.

Kenneth was affectionately called “Fresh,” “Big Doug,” or “Fresh Doug” by his friends and family. He attended Wilmington Public Schools for his early education and graduated from P.S. DuPont High School. After completing his education, Kenneth spent several years working in sanitation.

Fresh was a faithful member of the “Down Bottom Crew,” and he enjoyed sports, especially wrestling and football. His favorite wrestler was Triple H, and his football team the, Washington Redskins.

Fresh was known for his huge personality, charm, and directness. Meeting Fresh Doug just once would leave a lasting impression. He was known for his famous one liners, such as: “Check the move…”, “I was like this here…”, and “You ain’t got nothing to do with this!” These statements were delivered with a pointed finger, a typical Fresh gesture.

Big Doug was preceded in death by his parents and spouse Patricia “Pat” Douglas. He is survived by his children Kenny “Lil Doug”, Lamar, Kimmy, Kendall, and Kenya; his stepchildren: Ebony, Benjamin “Ben”, Essence, Aaron, Armond, and Tracey; a host of grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Big Doug/Fresh, your memory will always remain in our hearts. We celebrate not just the years you lived, but also the love you gave. Your light continues to shine through everyone you touched.
