Obituary of Amy L. Dillahunt
Amy L. Dillahunt, 60, of Osceola, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on January 26, 2024. She was born on August 12, 1963, in Troy, Ohio, the daughter of Homer L. and Ruby Jane (Copenhefer) Dillahunt and the youngest of 3 children. She enjoyed a wonderful childhood in Tipp City, Ohio where she had many friends and relatives, and everyone played outside past dark.
Amy was a 1982 graduate of Tippecanoe High School where she was involved in the music program and was a "Devillaire" in the Marching Band. Amy graduated in 1986 from The Ohio State University with a Degree in Home Economics. She and her sister enjoyed several OSU football games cheering on the Buckeyes while sitting in the Block O in Ohio Stadium. Amy spent most of her career in event planning, finance, banking and tax preparation.
In her youth, Amy loved the annual family trips to Torch Lake and Clam Lake Michigan. Michigan time was family time, with days spent boating, swimming, water skiing, reading, laying out on the dock for way too long, campfires and nightly games of Crazy 8s and 500 Rummy. While on vacation, Amy and her dad were always the first to nod off in sleeping contests with the starting words... "Ready, set, sleep", while her mom, brother Ross and sister Elaine chatted between rooms.
Amy had an infectious laugh, throwing her head back and getting everyone else laughing too! She loved spending time with her son, family and friends. She talked with her brother and sister weekly. She always put others ahead of herself and was a kind woman with a giving heart. Amy was a loving and devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, partner and friend. She enjoyed quiet times at home, mini excursions with her partner, Kent, and her kitty, Coco, who was both loved and spoiled.
Some of her fondest memories included adventures and trips with her son Austin including ski trips to Colorado, canoeing on the St. Croix River, trips to The Mall of America, eating out and finding new places to get good fish meals. As a member of the Ohio State Ski Club, Amy was an avid and accomplished water and snow skier and far eclipsed her siblings in skills.
Amy is survived by her son, Austin J. Jones of Minneapolis; Brother Ross (Pam) Dillahunt of Tipp City, Ohio; Sister Elaine Dillahunt (Karen Doe) of Indianapolis; Niece Rachel Markley (Ben) of Covington, Ohio; Nephews Mark Dillahunt of Columbus, Ohio; Luke Dillahunt of Cleveland, Tennessee, a great Nephew and numerous Dillahunt, McGinnis and Copenhefer cousins.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life Service. The first will be held on Monday, February 12th. Chapel service at 2 P.M., visitation at 1 P.M., with reception to follow at the First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1979 Old Hudson Road, St. Paul, Minnesota. The second will be held on Saturday, February 24th at the Tipp City Global Methodist Church, 8 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. with the memorial service beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary. Please plan to stay after the service for a lunch gathering in the church's Grand Hall to celebrate Amy's life.

I was in The Columbus Ski Club for forty some years and knew Amy. She was a great and fun person. I played softball with her, euchre, skied and many other activities. I was schocked to hear of her passing today 4/18/2024. I will always remember her big smile and enthusiastic attitude. She will be terribly missed! May God Bless her and her family!!

Amy, Dee and I would play outside in the dark and daylight. Playing tag, hide and seek, also $5.00 baseball in the street. At night we would play ghost in the graveyard! I have wonderful memories of Amy, love you and miss you dearly .
