Amy Dubowski Obituary
Amy Lynn (Cagle) Dubowski was taken back to heaven on January 20, 2025, in Clayton, NC, due to a sudden and unexpected heart attack. We are thankful that she experienced very little pain, did not suffer, and was not afraid.
Amy was born on August 23, 1968, in Reading, PA. She attended Alvernia College, where she was a voice student and earned a bachelor's degree in education. She pursued a career in social work, helping others in Pennsylvania, and later in North Carolina. After 20 years, Amy began her own medical billing business, which allowed her to work from home for the last 17 years of her life. She was exceptionally talented in business and truly loved and cared for her clients, as they did for her.
She met David Dubowski, of Clayton, North Carolina in 2002. The love they shared for each other was magical; anyone with them saw the sparkle in their eyes. David and Amy married on November 19, 2016 in a beautiful wedding celebration attended by devoted family and friends.
Amy enjoyed cooking, which she learned from her mom, and became a wonderful chef and baker. Her first love, however, was music, particularly punk, ska, and hard rock, which she fondly referred to as "table-flipping music." She loved spending time with loved ones, and singing. Angels even paused to listen when she sang!
Amy was also an early adopter of the online revolution. She loved video games, and later online gaming, where she met some wonderful friends, who miss her terribly, as we all do.
Amy had the most loving spirit of anyone we have ever known. She was the nicest person, loved and admired by everyone who knew her. She had genuine affection for any animal, no matter how great or small. Most of all, Amy cared deeply for and loved every one of her friends and family. She left us far too soon. "A candle twice as bright burns half as long."
Amy's loss is felt immensely by her husband David, and siblings: Cathleen (Jay) Halteman of Noblesville, IN; Laura Fry of Concord NC; and Steven Cagle of Concord, NC. Amy is also survived by several nieces and nephews, in-laws, and a best friend Jeremy Morris of Monroe, VA. All of whom she loved dearly, along with aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her mother, Mary Ann Cagle, her father, James Allen Cagle, and niece Carolyn (Fry) Dixon.
We will have a celebration of Amy Dubowski's life in the near future.
