Amy Elizabeth (McGraw) Etterman, 42, of Camp Hill, PA, passed away after battling cancer on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. She was the daughter of Katherine Cope McGraw and the late John J. McGraw.
A 2001 graduate of Cedar Cliff High School, Amy remained a lifelong resident of South Central Pennsylvania. She earned an associate's degree and began her career in the legal field, ultimately finding her niche in title research. She spent her early years with Tri-County Abstract Services in Camp Hill, where she was known for her diligence and sharp mind. Most recently, she was specializing in right-of-way research.
But Amy was so much more than her professional path. Family was always at the center of her world. She had a quick wit, a wonderfully sarcastic sense of humor, and a gift for making others laugh with her sharp, perfectly timed commentary. She was also artistic-writing poetry, playing piano in her younger years, and creating handmade jewelry. Her greatest devotion, though, was to her children. Amy poured her heart into their lives, staying active in her daughter's Taekwondo, basketball, rugby, and school activities, and advocating fiercely for her son, whose special needs she met with unwavering love and protection.
Amy was diagnosed with cancer just five weeks ago, and in that short time, she faced her illness with remarkable courage. Her beautiful spirit--bright, witty, artistic, and endlessly devoted--will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Surviving Amy are her children, Lucas Etterman and Elisabeth "Lizzy" Etterman; her mother, Katherine Cope McGraw of Camp Hill; a sister, Megan Nichols (husband, Justin) of Laingsburg, MI; nieces and nephews, Carter and Caitlyn Unger, and Simon, Elijah and Natalee Nichols; a large extended family, and her dog and eight cats.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30AM on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with a time of visitation taking place from 9:30AM until services begin in the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in Amy's name to the Autism Society Greater Harrisburg Area.
