Amy Elizabeth Jeror, 53, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on September 26, 2025 at Atrium Health Cleveland after a decades-long battle with the progressive disease, myotonic dystrophy. She was born January 1, 1972, was a 1990 graduate of Huntersville High School, and earned a Certified Nursing Assistant certificate from a local community college. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Jeror, with whom she lived for several years in Rome, NY before they moved to Statesville, NC. Amy was an avid reader and dreamt of becoming a writer, even completing several short stories in her lifetime. Amy is survived by her mother Midge Robbs and father Jimmy Robbs.
The family will hold a memorial service on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at El Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Julie Roberts officiating and music by Joyce Van Dyke.
As Amy's disease progressed, she grew to need the assistance of White Oak Kings Mountain. Myotonic dystrophy keeps progressing until vital organs shut down. Much research is being done, but there is no cure. Donations in Amy's memory may be made to The Muscular Dystrophy Association at www.mda.org.
