Amy Katelyn Johnson, 23, of Baltimore, Maryland, formerly of Anawalt, WV, passed Thursday, November 14, 2024.
Amy was born September 10, 2001, in Bluefield, WV, she was a daughter to Claude S. and Diane Sue Sizemore Johnson.
Those left to cherish Amy's memory are her parents, Claude and Diane Johnson, of Anawalt, WV; sisters, Haley Williams, of Anawalt, WV, Emily Johnson, of Anawalt, WV, and Nicole Sizemore, of Gary, WV; paternal grandfather, Claude E. Johnson, of Anawalt, WV; and several aunts, uncles, a niece, and nephew.
Amy was a very special girl that was loved and cherished by so many. She had a way of brightening the darkest of rooms with her smile, and could make the saddest person laugh. Her generosity was unmatched. Her presence here on this earth was so short lived, but will long live in the hearts of all that knew and loved her. There are no words to express the grief of losing her.
Amy was so kind and would give anyone the shirt off of her back. She was so special to so many people. She loved her family very much, along with her friends and animals.
The passing of Amy’s beautiful soul will forever leave an undeniable void in our lives, but also teaches us the valuable lessons of the fragility and preciousness of life and just how soon it can be taken from us. May memories of shared laughter, joy and tender moment flood the hearts of all those left behind as we all face this difficult time.
Funeral services will be held, Monday, November 25, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Darryl Christian officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services, from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
