Amy Thelma Levi, a beloved figure to all who knew her, passed away on October 7, 2025, in Provo, Utah. Born on August 19, 1950, in Fillmore, Utah, Amy was the cherished daughter of the late Johnson Levi and Ruth Drye Levi. She grew up in Kanosh, where she graduated from Millard High School, shaping her warm, inviting character that would touch the lives of many.
Amy was the heart of her family, marked by an unwavering love that she extended towards her numerous nieces and nephews, embracing them as her own and showering them with affection and warmth. She was dedicated to creating a nurturing and welcoming home, always opening her doors to those in need. Her cooking was legendary; family gatherings were not complete without her famous dishes, and those who savored her meals will remember them fondly. She spent her summers in Kaibab with grandma Mable Drye, where she learned the Paiute Language. She also helped take care of family which included, Clair, Elton and Tasha.
Described as having the biggest heart, Amy cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. Her home was filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. Among her closest companions was her biggest buddy, Jocelyn, affectionately known as "the Bear." Together, they shared countless moments, from solving crossword puzzles to coloring and sharing late-night conversations in Amy's room. The bond they shared was deep, and the memories they created will be treasures that the Bear holds close to her heart.
In addition to her love for family, Amy had a variety of interests that brought her joy. She had a passion for sewing, making beautiful blankets and baby dresses, and reveled in watching and encouraging her nieces as they danced. A true football enthusiast, she was a devoted Chiefs fan and enjoyed watching basketball too. Her favorite colors were light pink and purple, and she found solace in sipping tea or lemon water while sprinkled with laughter and love.
Amy came from a large family, which included living siblings Andy Levi (Kanosh), Lafe Levi (Kanosh), Wayne Levi (Kaibab, AZ), Sandra Levi (Fillmore), and Juanita (Fillmore), along with many nieces and nephews who all held a special place in her heart. She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnson and Ruth Levi, and her siblings Blanche, Patricia, Cecil, Kirk, Lena, and Starfield.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Olpin Stevens Funeral Home in Fillmore, Utah, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a Traditional Sing at the Kanosh Band Building in Kanosh, Utah, starting at 6:00 PM. Burial will be at the Kanosh Indian Cemetery at Sunrise.
Amy Levi will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her unconditional love and open arms for those she cherished will leave a lasting impact, reminding us of the importance of family, understanding, and love. She will continue to watch over all those who loved her, knowing that her spirit will forever be part of their lives.
